About Cooking Conversion Calc

Cooking Conversion Calc is a free set of measurement tools built for home cooks and bakers who need quick, accurate answers in the kitchen.

No ads on the calculators. No account required. No email to enter. Just the conversion you need and the answer.

What This Site Does

Seven tools. All free. All instant.

Cups to Grams converts any cup amount to grams for over 30 baking ingredients. Flour, sugar, butter, oats, honey, cocoa powder, and more. All weights based on the King Arthur Baking professional weight chart.

Grams to Cups does the reverse. European recipe lists grams. US kitchen has measuring cups. This converter bridges the gap.

Tablespoons in a Cup gives the complete conversion chart for every cup fraction plus an instant converter for any tablespoon or teaspoon amount.

Temperature Converter converts between Fahrenheit, Celsius, and gas mark with a full oven temperature reference table built in.

Recipe Scaler adjusts every ingredient in a recipe for any number of servings. Scale up for a party. Scale down for a small batch test.

Butter Converter converts between sticks, cups, tablespoons, grams, and ounces. Includes a full reference chart for the most common butter amounts.

Why We Built It

The cooking conversion questions people search for every day are simple. How many grams in a cup of flour? How many tablespoons in 1/3 cup? What is 350 Fahrenheit in Celsius?

The answers exist online but are usually buried in articles, surrounded by ads, or spread across multiple pages. This site puts all the tools in one place, loads fast, works on mobile, and gets out of the way.

How We Verify the Numbers

Volume-to-volume conversions (cups, tablespoons, teaspoons, fluid ounces, milliliters) are based on the US legal standard definitions. 1 US cup equals exactly 236.588ml. 1 tablespoon equals exactly 14.787ml. These are fixed values defined by the National Institute of Standards and Technology.

Weight conversions for baking ingredients use the King Arthur Baking weight chart, the most widely cited professional standard for ingredient weights in the US. All flour weights assume the spoon-and-level method.

Temperature conversions use the exact Fahrenheit-Celsius formula: C = (F - 32) x 5/9. Gas mark values use the official UK gas mark scale as published by the UK government.

Recipe scaling uses simple ratio math: desired servings divided by original servings equals the scaling factor, applied to every ingredient.
